Nour

    My name is Nour, I am from Lebanon. I moved to Canada on
May 12 2016 with my parents and my younger brother and we are
now staying in Milton Ontario.

    Many reasons made me move from Lebanon to Canada, mainly
political, social, and economic. The civil war in Syria and the
political unrest in Lebanon and the Middle East in general made
day-to- day life for ordinary people very difficult, unpleasant, and
stressful. People are not able to live their daily life without worry
and anxiety. They cannot plan their future with certainty. That is
why work and work opportunities are very limited and hard to find.
This made people struggle to make a decent living.

    I came to Canada in search of work and for a better life which all
people deserve. Canada is the land of opportunity where anyone
can make a decent living in peace; with fairness, tolerance, and no
discrimination; in justice where all are equal in front of the law and
protected by it.

    All that is said above, living in Canada will help me get a better
education to provide me with better opportunities for work and
living a life in peace with respect and dignity.
